What attracted me to this teapot was primarily its size. It's one of the few 48 ounce pots around. The design is quite good, classic, romantic and a favorite of Martha Stewart. However, I'm not impressed with the execution of the somewhat gold smear over the berry and thread. For a Jaliska, made in Portugal, I was expecting a much cleaner, exact overlay of the gold instead of the rather smeared, random look. My wife, for whom I bought the teapot, loves it. And I guess that's all that matters.
