Beautiful but TINY
So I expected this to be a decent-sized ice bucket and was very surprised to see just how small it is. Be sure to check the dimensions- I didn't. That aside, it is very nice looking and functional, has a reasonably substantial weight to it but isn't terribly heavy like a lot of Mauviel items. I bought this primarily to hold ice for making various cocktails but it would be nice to also chill a bottle of wine or champagne on special occasions... I'm not sure a bottle will fit WITH the ice packed around it. Possibly just a few ice cubes around the sides and more on the bottom of the bucket... but it won't be a bottle packed in ice in this bucket. Not a big deal for me but it would be nice if it had a slightly larger capacity. I find myself refilling with ice in the kitchen every so often during parties, but maybe that isn't a bad thing as ice WILL melt anyway...
