Blending ISSUES
I've owned Omni for over a month and having huge issues with blending the recipes that came directly from the book included with the blender. It will not grind up nuts, the mixture sticks to the walls of the blender while the blades are idly spinning. And with several other recipes it takes a ridiculous amount of time to get the right consistency!! I've notices the company really stresses the fact that it's really powerful, however I don't think that alone makes a blender efficient. Like I mentioned the blades just keep spinning (very, very fast) while the mixture is stuck unblended to the walls of the cup. It seems to me the problem is the design of the container - it has a very wide square base which makes it possible for the ingredients to be shoved in the corners unblended. By contrast the vitamix container design is very narrow at the bottom, where the surface is completely taken up by the blade, so anything that goes down will be ground up (my mom has one).
