Quiet, fast and BIG! A real bargain
I settled on this dehydrator because I wanted a very large stainless one with good reviews and good performance. I couldn't find anything on this particular model but the others like it either had a lot of complaints or cost a fortune. It arrived in a couple days, was already set up except for the shelves which were a snap. Needless to say I went shoping for meat the very next morning. I bought my usual 10 pounds that I have been buying for my round plastic dehydrator and mixed it up. I was forced to make three seperate batches with my old one and each of them took 12 hours. I put the whole 10 pounds in this monster and still had three unused shelves. I closed the door and turned it on and Guess what? No noise at all like the complaints on the others. I even took the door off and looked inside to make sure it was working, it was so quiet. I set the thermostat on max which is 155 degrees and set the timer at 10 hours and went to bed.
