Dead Beuty
This toaster should be a centerpiece in a kitchen. Very nice looking and with many useful functions. It is quite expensive but you pay for what you like and expect to enjoy. The ordered toster arrived promptly from the vendor and looked exactly as expected. The problem that was discovered right away was very fundamental.
It was dead. As recommended, we checked the outlet, and it was fine. But there was no response from the toster - dead. That night we sent an email to Alessi's HQ in Europe and were referred to NY. Next day the Alessi NY told us that they've experienced some problems with some batches in manufacturing. They offered to send the toster to NY, and they would try to fix it or replace. We have refused the offer and sent the toaster back to Amazon. We are waiting for the refund, hopefully the whole cost. In another email from Alessi they said that the manufacturing issues should be fixed in May. So, may be we'll try it again later in the summer. But how to know when the...
