Better than the OEM product!
After getting the mixer, I was in the market for a grinder attachment to make sausage, pate, and other ground items. The reviews for the stock grinder were abysmal and I felt I'd end up with a lousy part and end up returning it. I even went to the local BB&B and looked at the grinder attachment and verified what I had read. Cheap! The cutter was made of punched out steel and the whole thing seemed flimsy. I looked around on-line some more and found this grinder. Yes, it's a whole lot more expensive than the O.E.M. part but it's worth every penny! I've made a few batched so far and love it! Just make sure you NEVER put any of the cast aluminum items in the dishwasher and make sure you coat the cutter and extrusion dies with vegetable oil after cleaning them to prevent rust. I really expect to get many years of use out of this product and I'm glad I bought it!
