Decent Island, but dangerous for kids
I've had the white island with the stainless steel top assembled in my kitchen for just over a week now.
The island shipped in three different boxes. One box included the core of the island, cabinet doors, drawers and casters for the bottom if you need this to sit on wheels. The second box included the four feet that can be used instead of the wheels (which I installed) and the third box consists of only the stainless steel top. Box one and three were double boxes, which were annoying to open but necessary to protect everything inside. The island was in great shape overall, without any damage to the wood at all. The stainless top does have a significant 8" scuff mark on one side but I expect the entire top will be pretty beaten up soon anyway, so it's unlikely I'll contact the seller for a new one. [Update 11/2012: The top is scuffed and weathered. I don't notice the scuff mark anymore.]
Assembly was relatively easy and only took about 3.5 hours with a power...
